Abandoned Mansion in the forest

The weather is still acting funny and I've been busy lately, but today I finally took some pictures.

The front gate.

The side gate.

Under a tree, nearby the road.

View from a far.

There was a very big bamboo forest nearby.

First view of the Mansion up close.

The sound of crows was unsettling.

A lot of stones like this were around. Everything was done with precision.

A chimney fell off the roof.

The front door.

The back door, which was surprisingly open.

Up a few steps and I'm welcomed by this lovely view.

Very large fungi growing on the wall.

Some medical files on the floor.

There was a massive amount of rooms inside, but everything looked in very bad shape.

There were some creepy sounds coming from the dark basement. Still went downstairs.

These were pictures with flash, believe me it was a dark basement.

These guys were chilling in the attic.

I woke some of them up, accidentally.

This case was on the roof. There were some medical vials in it.

There were a lot of them in this box.

And yes, of course I went to the tower.

The inside of this tower was absolutely beautiful.

My favorite for last, as always. :)

This neo-Islamic mansion is really a one of a kind piece. I usually like old and abandoned places, this is the first one I would really like to see in its prime. It's a real shame it's not being better looked after.

Swallowed by nature

Once again I went for a walk with a camera. Initially this was the location I meant to go last week, but then the old house caught my eye. (Reminder: Looks can be deceiving) This however is a group of buildings near the spring of our local river. Some of them, I think were of military use and some of them of our local hydro electrical power plant.

The first piece of the puzzle.

This is the second building nearby.

This is an old military structure.

The same, from another angle.

Once again I climb some ruined staircase.

Probably a kitchen.

Trees growing on the second floor.

Another building hiding in the bushes.

And of course my Favorite for last. And I must say this is easily one of my favorite pictures so far on my blog.

Looks can be deceiving

Weather is being a bitch lately (pardon my French). Anyway, I took a walk today and saw this old house and  decided to take a closer look. I've walked/drove past this house a lot of times before, but today I saw the front door was open, so I considered it as an invitation. Here is what I discovered inside.

As I enter, the first thing I see is, the whole thing is falling apart, I didn't assume it was in such bad condition.

First I discovered, what I presume is a kitchen.

In the next room there was just junk.

There was evidence of a fire on the ceiling.

This was in the next room. The red color on the saw table made me feel a bit uncomfortable. But It was just paint.

A staircase with no stairs.

Decided to take a look upstairs.

Wanted to get a closer look, but then I looked down...

...and I decided it was not safe since I could see through the floor.

Here is where things get strange.

A big piece of cloth hanging from the ceiling.

There was graffiti behind it.

Note this is the room above, where the ceiling was burnt by fire. I was walking as carefully as possible.

In the next room there was a lot of junk again.

The amount of plush animals was strange.

There were a lot of diapositives around.

My favourite.

This one was quite a surprise for me. Never could I have imagined what was inside this old house. First impressions can be deceiving.
